Outdoor rug
An outdoor rug will add warmth and class to any porch, patio or deck. Outdoor rugs come in all shapes, sizes and styles just like standard rugs. The difference is that they are designed to stand up to even more wear and tear. Indoor rugs will most likely never be put through a rain storm or be covered in snow, but outdoor rugs are made to do just that and still look great.
Any high traffic area around the house can be fitted with an outdoor rug. Entryways, anterooms and kitchens are all great spots for outdoor rugs. A reversible rug will look great nearly twice as long as a regular rug. Two sides take turns absorbing shock, so wear is not as noticeable. Many have a different pattern or color on either side so every time it’s flipped over it’s like getting a whole new rug.
Outdoor rugs are made from a variety of materials, some of which are designed to withstand the elements. A polypropylene outdoor rug will last for years and look great because it will resist moisture and dry quickly. Bamboo rugs look especially great when used outside. Some are woven from bamboo strands and others are made from straight bamboo strips. Braided rugs also offer outstanding durability.
